We're working with our neighbours in the Region to streamline and simplify the process for constructing new housing. We are developing a new online service system to make it easier to submit development applications, receive permits, and make payments. It will also reduce costs and speed up the approvals process for those looking to construct new housing in the town.

This initiative aims to:

• improve communication between applicants and staff, which will expedite reviews, improve processes, and positively impact housing development processes going forward
• clarify processes and provide increased transparency and access for developers as their applications are processed and reviewed
