The town of Quispamsis is undertaking a comprehensive redesign of Hampton Road to upgrade our underground pipe infrastructure and improve the corridor for all road users. Together, we can reimagine how Hampton Road can be a safe, comfortable, and accessible space – whether you’re driving, cycling, walking, or using a mobility aid.
This is a major generational project for our Town. This isn’t just a pipe upgrade and repaving project – it is a thoughtful reimagining of how Hampton Road functions and feels today and in the future. We are considering everything: safety, traffic flow, pedestrian and cycling routes, accessibility for all, as well as how Hampton Road and Landing Court can become vital community spaces - imagine a multigenerational, functional, vibrant Town Centre that can be enjoyed by all.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the first round of community engagement.
Your input provided valuable insight into how Hampton Road is used today, and what improvements would better serve road users and community members into the future.
The What We Heard Report for Round 1 is available now. Click here to read the report!
Based on what we heard during the first round of engagement, the project team has developed two design options for Hampton Road. We are now asking for community feedback to help choose a preferred option. The selected design option will be recommended to Council for approval to move forward to the detailed design stage.
Join us in-person to explore the proposed design options, speak with the project team, and share which option you prefer.
